«The works of the series «Renascimento por Transformação (Reborn through transformation, 2018-2020), which the artist prints on paper, have as their matrix, as in most of her projects, glass negatives, images from the beginning of photography in an analogue process. They contain an original image that we will never get to know because it is subject to a process of wear and tear and erasure, by using scratching and abrasive objects. These actions transform the photographic image into a dense and detailed drawing that expresses the incisive movement of the hand. The notion of time, inscribed in the image of the photographic negative, becomes a reconfigured spectrum, reborn in another time that relates to the gesture that builds the drawing on the printed plane of the surface of the photographs.»*
